MEDICINAL INGREDIENT: Each capsule contains 400 mg of powdered dried leaf of Cassia angustifolia (Senna).
NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENT: Vegetable capsule.
RECOMMENDED DOSAGE (Adults and adolescents 11 years and older): 2 capsules daily (at bedtime). Allow 6 to 12 hours for laxative effects. Take a few hours before or after taking medications or health products. Take 2 to 3 times per week. If the desired effect is not obtained, take up to one dose per day.
DURATION OF USE: Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 7 days.
PRECAUTIONS/WARNINGS: Consult a health care practitioner: if symptoms persist or worsen after use. Before use: if you are taking heart medication, diuretics, adrenocorticoids, licorice root, or other health products that may affect electrolyte balance; if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not use if you have; intestinal obstructions and/or stenosis, atony, appendicitis, have inflammatory bowel disease (e.g., Crohn's disease, colon ulcer), experience abdominal pain of unknown origin, or are severely dehydrated due to lack of electrolytes.
