Traditionally used in Herbal Medicine: Calendula: to help relieve inflammatory conditions of the digestive system; Thyme: to help relieve flatulent dyspepsia and colic; Cinnamon: for digestive disturbances/digestive complaints such as mild spams/cramps of the gastrointestinal tract/gastrointestinal colic, feeling of repletion/bloating and flatulence and in Ayurveda for bowel complains such as dyspepsia, flatulency, diarrhea and vomiting; Sweet Fennel: to help relieve digestive disturbances including bloating and flatulence and to help relieve the pain associated with menstruation. Recommended Dose (Adults):
1 tea bag (1.5g), 3 times per day as infusion. Infuse 1 tea bag in 1 cup of boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes.
Medicinal Ingredients:
Each tea bag contains 200mg flower of Calendula officinalis (Calendula); 300mg branch bark of Cinnamomum (Cinnamon); 500mg seed of Foeniculum vulgare (Sweet Fennel) and 500mg leaf and flower of Thymus vulgaris (Thyme).
Duration of use:
Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 2 weeks.
Cautions/Warnings:
Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen; prior to use if you are breastfeeding or if you have diabetes.
Contraindications:
Do not use if you are pregnant or if you are allergic to anethole or plants of the Apiaceae/Carrot or Asteraceae/Compositate/Daisy family.
Known Adverse Reaction:
Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use.
