A medicinal mushroom from our terroir
Chaga mushrooms grow on birch trees and has an irregular shape with a dark, rough and crevassed texture on the outside and a rusty-brown colour on the inside.
We ensure a sustainable harvest. Part of the chaga only is collected, allowing the mushroom to continue its growth.
Using Chaga
Chaga is usually consumed as an infusion. Add 14g of chage per liter of water. Bring to a boil and simmer gently for 3 to 4 hours. Filter and drink a cup per day. The nuggets can be frozen and reused two more times.
Add a stick of cinnamon while heating the chaga and a dash of maple or birch syrup before serving for a comforting drink.
Add sugar and a twist of lemon for a cool, thirst quenching drink.
